Contribute to the Event
It’s through the generosity of people like you that Children’s is able to fulfill its mission of providing the best medical care for children regardless of a family’s ability to pay. By making a contribution today, you will help ensure that no family in our region will have to choose between food and housing, or caring for a sick child. This year’s fundraising goal is $400,000. Proceeds will benefit uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
Over the years, the Season of Light and the Festival of Trees have raised more than $10 million for uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital. Last year’s auction was a tremendous success and helped provide quality medical care to all children of the Northwest - regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
Since Children’s was founded in 1907, it has counted on the support of the community to help fulfill its mission. Each year, more than 220,000 patient visits occur at the hospital and, although many are covered by insurance, a significant amount of resources are needed to care for those who are under-insured, uninsured or for whom treatments are not covered.

A Word About Children’s Circle of Care:
Individuals who donate $10,000 or more to Children’s by December 31, 2008, will become members of Children’s Circle of Care (CCC), the premier philanthropic organization that supports children’s hospitals all over the country. Across North America, 24 of the top children’s hospitals participate in the program. For Seattle Children’s last year, Circle of Care membership totaled 388 generous donors.
All 2008 CCC members will be invited to the 2009 Leadership Conference and Gala Dinner, to be held in Seattle May 6-8. Tom Brokaw will serve as honorary chair.
